What is an OCI Card?
The Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card is a long-term visa issued to foreign nationals of Indian origin, allowing them to travel to India without needing a visa. It offers various benefits, making it easier for individuals of Indian ancestry to maintain a strong connection to India. OCI cardholders enjoy multiple-entry, lifelong visa-free travel to India for various purposes, including tourism, education, and business.

You can apply for an OCI card if you belong to any of the following categories:

✔ Foreign nationals who were previously citizens of India.

✔ Individuals whose parents were/are Indian citizens.

✔ Spouses of Indian citizens or OCI holders (subject to conditions).

⚠ Note: Persons holding Pakistani or Bangladeshi citizenship are not eligible for OCI.
